Sawdoctors - I Used To love Her

Dont forget that the Sawdoctors are re-releasing "I Used To Love Her" on Friday 26th of October with all proceeds in aid of People In Need. The group will be at Heartbeat City in Kilkenny next Thursday at 4pm to sign copies of the single so come along and get your copy signed and by doing so you are supporting the Telethon People In Need Campaign.

Morris Minor Madness

Tomorrow Friday 26th of october is Telethon day and as part of Kilkenny's fundraising campaign the Kilkenny motor club will be recuilding a Morris Minor Car in the Market Cross Shopping Centre from 9am - 9pm. Visit www.kilkennymotorclub.com for more information or pop down to have a look on the day. Fingers crossed they get it finished by 9pm. At 9pm any volunteers that help during the day's collections are welcome to join us for refreshments in the Club House Hotel and watcth the Telethon programme on RTE.

We Will Rock You is here !!!

Starlight's contribution to the Telethon campaign is re-staging We Will Rock You at the Watergate Theatre. The show will run at the Watergate Theatre, Kilkenny from Monday to Wednesday next week 22nd - 24th of October at 8pm nightly. The proceeds from the show on the Tuesday and Wednesday will go to the People In Need campaign in Kilkenny. Tickets for this sensational show are available from the Box Office on 056 77 61674.

Dance-athon at Market Cross

The Dance-athon takes place this Saturday 13th of October from 9am - 6pm in the Market Cross Shopping Centre. Dancers from Dancewise Academy have been raising sponsorship for this event and will perform numerous dance routines all day long to entertain you on your Saturday trip down town. Special guests on the day include the Kilkenny Salsa Jive Club, John Scatman as Micheal Jackson, Line Dancers and Irish Dancers too.

Head Shave Party at the Boston Bar

RTE Cameras for Its A Knockout

RTE have confirmed they will be sending a camera crew to film footage at Its a Knockout which will then be used as part of the Telethon programme presented by Ryan Tubridy on RTE 1 on Friday 26th of October. this is great news for all involved as having the RTE cameras there will add even more excitement to what will be a fantatsic fun day. Team Entry € 250 for team of 5 people Spectator Entry € 10 per family from 1pm on the day.

Its A Knockout Challenge

On Saturday 29th of September the Kilkenny Telethon Committee is presenting a fantastic fun event titled Its A Knockout. Numerous teams of 5 people each will compete against each other in a series of fun inflatable challenges such as a Bungee Run and Gladiator Jousting to see who will be crowned the Telethon Its A Knockout Champions 2007. The event will be run at Kilkenny Arena Exhibition Centre, Wallslough Village, just off the Bennettsbridge Road only a few miles from Kilkenny city centre. The cost for teams to enter is € 250.00 and this can be raised with sponsorship cards or donations. Families are encouraged to come along and watch the event on the day and the cost for a Family to enter is just € 10. There will also be face painting, balloon modelling, bouncy castles and slides for the kids to enjoy. Teams can be booked now by contacting the Telethon Office on 056 77 777 57.

We Will Rock You Returns For Telethon!

We Will Rock You, which played to packed houses in the Watergate Theatre in Kilkenny earlier this year returns to Kilkenny to help raise funds for the 2007 People In Need Telethon. Starlight Stage Productions, in association with the Watergate Theatre, proudly present the smash hit Queen and Ben Elton musical, back by popular demand. We Will Rock You will run from Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th of October, commencing nightly at 8pm. Tickets are only 12 euro with bookings being taken now on 056 77 61674.
